Health Education and Creation Care
BHI carries out HIV counseling and testing, adolescent health programs, maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) including environment care workshops to motivate community members to improve and maintain their health, prevent disease and reduce risky behaviors to live out God’s wonderful plan for humanity.
Trauma Healing
BHI provides training on skills needed by caregivers to be able to help people after difficult events to find healing and build resilience. These skills are based on biblical principles.
Livelihood Strengthening
BHI provides entrepreneurial training to help people become economically empowered, giving them self-worth and allowing them to recognize God’s presence in their lives. Youth, widows, orphans as well as other community members are reached with the skills for self-help income generation.
Justice and Gender Promotion
Justice and gender are cross cutting issues in BHI programs. BHI encourages organizations, churches, and communities to address circumstances of injustice and gender imbalance for sustainable transformation.
Organizational and Community Capacity Development
BHI helps groups and communities to identify challenges preventing them from achieving their goals and then facilitate or support projects and processes that will address the problems using their potential with little or no external help.
